Two Seasons are the only stockists of Imperivm snowboards in the UK. The brand has quite a big following in Europe, it was born in Les Arcs, France but is lesser known here. The company has an interesting history and an ever growing team of pro riders both in snowboarding and now skating. Both snowboards and skateboards from Imperivm have strong graphics which are inspired by street artists, tattoo artists and history.
The guys at Imperivm snowboards have kindly given us some skateboard decks to give away with all of this year’s Imperivm snowboards ordered online. We have a couple of different graphics, one matches the Desperado II snowboard as in the picture. All decks are high quality, strong 7ply Canadian woodcore and have a smooth finish. Not bad for a freebie but be quick, they won’t last long!

The Freeride World Tour promises to be best yet!
No comments · Posted by Lauren in Dakine, Skiing, Snowboarding
The Freeride World Tour is about to commence once we get Christmas and New Year out of the way and the event, sponsored by Dakine is destined to be bigger and better than before. This year there are six stages in total which are spread across Europe, Russia and the U S of A. Skiers and snowboarders alike will compete on the same face of the same mountain to be crowned eventual World Champions. The tour will kick off in the Chamonix-Mont Blanc area and go full circle around the world and back to Europe in the form of Verbier for the final to be held 19th March. A women’s tour will also be taking place and will run along side the men’s tour minus a few stages.
The tour will start on 22nd January in France and by the beginning of March will reach Sochi in Russia which is where the Winter Olympics will be hosted in 2014. It promises to be a spectacular event as always, how can it not be with a drop in from a needle point on a 60° slope? The speeds the riders reach and the fact that they are so relieved to get past the finishing line says something about the intensity and extreme element to the competition. Looking forward to following from January.

So its that time of year when we all get dressed up in our Sunday bests but for some people it seems to be an excuse (albeit an acceptable one) to wear the most horrendous jumper for the one special day of the year. The Christmas jumper is a timeless piece of clothing and should feature in everyone’s wardrobe. Here at Two Seasons we have been digging out the best ones we can find on the World Wide Web. Our range of winter jumpers and knits are obviously much more fashionable and up to the minute than these bad boys below but here is a beautiful montage of our top ten knitted wonders featuring Michael Jackson and Snoop Dogg!
Have any beauties of your own? Why don’t you email us a photo at info@twoseasons.co.uk

Simon Dumont has won the first leg of the ski half pipe comp at this year’s Nike 6.0 Open Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado. Conditions were less than perfect, it was dumping which is not ideal for a pipe competition although excellent news otherwise. Literally a whiteout as you can see from the pics, the day held the men’s and women’s half pipe finals but there was no deterring the competitors from pulling some serious tricks and the blokes particularly getting some BIG air as usual.
Salomon skier Simon Dumont was closely followed by Justin Dorey and Frenchman (and double X Games gold medallist) Kevin Roland who placed third. They beat the likes of Jossi and Bryon Wells who were both habouring niggling injuries. The finals were dominated by technical tricks that are becoming much more of the norm in pipe finals these days, there were double’s flying everywhere and Dorey pulled his special double 12. Things, will only get bigger!

Dew Tour starts today!
No comments · Posted by Lauren in Skiing, Snowboarding, Uncategorized
Winter has arrived and it’s Dew Tour season. The tour kicks off today in Breckenridge with the 6.0 Open and some of the biggest names in freestyle skiing and snowboarding competing in the Superpipe and Freestyle categories. Expect to see the likes of Nike 6.0 sponsored Simon Dumont who is stoked that the pipe has been regulated to a bigger size of 22ft! Also big names such as Jossi Wells, Andreas Hatveit and Tom Wallisch in the skiing fraternity and Billabong snowboarder Jamie Anderson, JJ Thomas and Danny Davis from the strange world of snowboarding…
Check out footage from last year’s superpipe final (and Simon Dumont was moaning about the pipe being small…)

Castleford hosts Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle, next stop Switzerland and France
No comments · Posted by Lauren in Competition, Snowboarding
The Nike 6.0 Stairset Battle Tour is underway and has visited the UK on it’s first stop of the 2010/11 rounds, the SNO!zone in Castleford being the chosen destination. The competition which is part of the official TTR 2-Star circuit attracted forty of the UK’s best jibbers from here, there and everywhere. The format of the Battle is ‘Open Jam’ which means noone is categorized, everyone competes against each other. The kids in Castleford were throwing it down and they were a credit to the UK scene putting on an awesome display on the stairset made up of two kink boxes and a rail. Uber technical tricks were ever present and the crowd we’re loving it, particularly the one footers!
As the lights went down and the spot light was concentrated on the stairset, the pressure (and competitiveness) increased, it was the final showdown! Tom Guilmard with his winning FS Blunt 450 out and a perfect landed FS 360 to 50-50 on the down rail meant that he took home first place and a ticket to the final of the tour at Air&Style 2011 in Munich, Germany on February 12th. Jonny Russel took second and Gareth Andrews third. The boys and girls will now be able to use the stairset all year long as the SNO!zone will be keeping the feature, a perfect excuse to get some practice in for next years comp!
The next stop on the European tour is taking place this weekend and will stop in Switzerland in the resort of Hoch y-Brig which is a lesser known ski area (but then I suppose they would say that about Castleford!) with an absolutely wicked looking snowpark! With a break on the tour until after Christmas it returns to France on 29th December to the Apocalypse of all snow parks, the Apocalypse park in Les Arcs. Remember, best overall impression counts so bring it to win it!

Unless you’ve been hibernating for the past couple of weeks then, due to the fact the country has almost come to a stand still, we’re sure you’re aware that it’s been snowing in the UK! In fact it’s been snowing across Europe and pretty much all of the Alps have been getting much more than just a dusting. But although it’s still Baltic here (so wrap up warm in your base layers), unfortunately French resorts have been hit with heavy rainfall which has all but destroyed the early snow cover which came from the skies and the snow cannons that had been able to run for some time because of the cold temps. This is all set to change at the weekend when temperatures drop and snow is due to start falling again in France.
Scottish ski resorts have got off to a great start with the Nevis range having opened last weekend, two weeks earlier than scheduled with their earliest opening of the season for thirteen years. Even Charles and Camilla have been snapped near Balmoral for their official Christmas card on their cross-country skis, albeit in their tweed…We can help with a North Face or Billabong jacket but not with the tweed I’m afraid… It’s still snowing, the resorts are in great shape, the question is can you get to them? Many major roads have become inaccessible in the last forty-eight hours and maintenance work that had been planned to be carried out in some resorts has been put on hold for the time being. Nevertheless, it’s been gradually building up for the last month and the base up in Fort William is particularly good for this time of the year.
So it appears that you’ve got more chance of a good days riding in the UK at the moment. Heres to more of the white stuff!
