With snow finally falling across the Alps and Christmas drawing closer, here’s a little write-up on our favourite top ten products for this winter and why we like them…(in no particular order)
- The Element P.M.A t-shirt – because everyone needs a little positive mental attitude during the winter especially if you’re in the UK and it’s raining and dark at 4pm!
2. Full Tilt Hot Dogger boots – because if they’re good enough for Tom Wallisch, they’re good enough for us!
3. DC PLY snowboard – because donuts and coffee are two of our favourite things and this board is also excellent value for cash!
4. Shaun White Oakley Airbrake goggles – because they look and feel amazing and the lens’ are the easiest to change.
5. K2 Party Pole – because they are called the Party Pole and we are ready to party! They are adjustable in length and they look awesome.
6. RVCA Wordless C. dress – because you can still wear a pretty dress in the winter and the detail at the back is very lovely.
7. Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis – because they are designed in every way by pro skier Eric Pollard and they ski like a dream!
8. Billabong Anne Flore Marxer jacket – because she’s one of the world’s best snowboarders and we love the dreamy, pixelated print.
9. Nike Vapen boot – because this is a really good looking snowboard boot for the ladies, it is purple and there is a swoosh. That is simply all.
10. Salomon Brigade helmet – because everyone needs a helmet and this one looks particularly bright.
Two Seasons stores are spreading! Late in November our portfolio of nationwide stores grew once again with the addition of our first store in Watford.
Opening on 25th November, the store is predominately skate orientated with a large selection of both skate hardware and clothing. There’s something to suit every skaters needs and styles with loads of Element, Plan B and Billabong in the men’s department. The store features a skate wall which is stocked full of the sturdiest shoes for skating and there’s also fashion styles from the Element Emerald collection. If you’re heading out to the slopes, or you just want to wrap up warm in some technical gear this winter, then our new Watford store will be selling a range of ladies and men’s snow clothing. Trendy styles and colours from Billabong and super tech pieces from The North Face mean there’s something for both skiers and snowboarders.
On a separate note, our presence in Nottingham grows with our newly extended Two Seasons and Element store. There is quite simply everything you need from skate and scooter accessories to a full range of ski and snowboard hardware during the winter not to mention a massive complement of casual, skate and surf wear. Everything all under one roof, what more could you want?
Check out the store page for Nottingham here.

Element’s Wolfeboro collection is going strong, now in it’s second year, Element Founder & President Johnny Schillereff tells us how it came about. It’s quite a cool story and reflects the traditionalism that the brand represents along with it’s classic, timeless and ’simple living’ style.

Element Emerald Collection – Conscious and Stylish!

Element Emerald Collection – The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step…
The Element Emerald Collection is an eco-conscious line with a mature style, let’s say sophisticated and understated.
The entire footwear collection is made of premium materials and the emphasis is on a mix of styles from boat shoes and slip-ons to old-school hiking boots with minimalist, natural lines. All the techniques and materials used are in keeping with the Conscious by Nature theme which encapsulates the whole Element vibe.
The Emerald footwear collection is a step up from Element’s core skate shoe range. Whether you’re a skater or not they are easily worked into an everyday wardrobe and with the focus on fit, design and detail you can’t go wrong!
RVCA is a stylish lifestyle brand that wouldn’t go a miss in any boutique or skate shop. That’s good news because the brand is new to Two Seasons for spring/summer 2011.
Spoken with a U instead of the V, the brand takes the V and the uncrossed A out of its name to create up and down arrows for the logo.
There is a big story behind the brand and it’s Founder and Company Director P M Tenore. Obviously closely associated with skate and surf culture, RVCA is also a combination of sports with art, music, fashion and modern lifestyle. From the beginning there has been the Artist Network Program (ANP) which showcases up-and-coming and well-known artists. Street graffiti is a big part of this and RVCA is a big part of the scene. The brand provides a positive spin on graffiti which most of us associate with dingy bridges and travelling on the train into most cities in the UK. Check out the artwork showcased on the RVCA website, the graffiti timeline is especially impressive http://www.rvca.com/category/anp/
The collection from RVCA has a minimalist feel, simple, clean and well made. The ANP have transformed their artwork into designs for both men and women and sponsored artists, surfers and skaters such as George Thompson, Donny Miller, Ed Templeton, Andrew Pommier, Ben Horton, Mark McCoy and Krush all have signature designs.
Coming very soon so keep watch…
So its that time of year when we all get dressed up in our Sunday bests but for some people it seems to be an excuse (albeit an acceptable one) to wear the most horrendous jumper for the one special day of the year. The Christmas jumper is a timeless piece of clothing and should feature in everyone’s wardrobe. Here at Two Seasons we have been digging out the best ones we can find on the World Wide Web. Our range of winter jumpers and knits are obviously much more fashionable and up to the minute than these bad boys below but here is a beautiful montage of our top ten knitted wonders featuring Michael Jackson and Snoop Dogg!
Have any beauties of your own? Why don’t you email us a photo at info@twoseasons.co.uk
Ouch! Watch the dramatic footage of DC and alpinestars’ Ken Block crashing in treacherous conditions at the testing for the Wales Rally GB which is taking part as we speak. Let’s hope he has more luck in the spare car!

David Atwood is the newest member of the Two Seasons sponsored skateboard team. Dave is eighteen years old and has been skating for a many years, in that time competing in some pretty impressive competitions and getting some equally impressive results. He placed 5th after being invited to take part in the under 18 Street Jam U.K Board Masters comp a few years ago and has since taken part in local comps such as last months Kingston R.I.P coming 4th due to big names such as Aaron Sweeney and Jezza Jones. Most recently he took 1st place in Crewe at Platform One Skate Plaza and has also placed 1st at Camden Bowl. Nice one Dave!
As for the man himself, what else does he do apart from skate (old-school style) and long board? David says, “I’m really into mechanics and old American cars, and spent most of last year doing up a Classic Chevy. I listen to everything from hip-hop, to metal; anything with a decent bass line really. I used to be in a band, now I just enjoy the occasional jamming session with a few mates.”
Interesting Dave Atwood facts:
- Set up of choice: Element deck (any thats 8 – 8.25), Indy Trucks, Element Tim Tim Wheels, Reds Bearings and for grip it’s got to be true grip.
- Fave skate spot: Seven set with rail, Hubba Edge
- Local spot: LOCALS ONLY!!
- Tunes: Styles of Beyond – Second 2 None, A Day to Remember – Downfall of us All & You Should of Killed Me
- Food: Ben & Jerrys, Cookies, Monster Drink (hint)
- Movies: Pinapple Express, Jay & Silent Bob, Finding Nemo
Dave can be found in the Two Seasons Kingston store so go in and see him if you need some help choosing your next deck and take note of his expert advice and general skate knowledge!
