Billabong launches a Green Day Co-operation boardshort: the Mass Hysteria boardshort.
Billabong have always had great cooperation with bands and musicians and the work with musicians has always been something billabong are interested in, as the bands and the fans wear the clothing and enjoy sports that billabong specialize in. Billabong have previously released collaborations with musicians like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, Donavon Frankenreiter and most recently, Metallica.
So it was only a matter of time before pop-punk legends Greenday made an appearance on some boardies. There music has been inspiring board riders since the early 90’s , and rocked the charts over the years with many hits.
“We enjoy working on creative projects and this coop has been a lot of fun,” says Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.
Plaid pattern in grey and black, featuring Green Day’s signature logo overlaid on the side of the leg. They’ve kept the punk style whilst being a functional board short that surfers require as well.
The Mass Hysteria board short was already a hit amongst team riders through out Europe, and I expect the popularity to only get vastly bigger with punk icons Greenday backing them.
