Burton’s High Five tour landed at Tamworth’s Snowdome at the end of September – check out this edit from the new competition format event. If anyone needed reassuring that the UK snowboarding scene is still well and truly alive, it’s right in front of your nose.

For the uninitiated, the High5 tour is a collaboration between global snowboarding giant Burton, Whitelines and the UK’s six indoor slopes. Instead of being a straight forward competition, the event is rider judged and run in jam format. The best riders are then taken to the final on a two run, best run counts basis. It’s not just the riding under scrutiny though, park crews are also being watched on their ability to create unique, innovative and above all, FUN features. Keep an eye out for the next stop coming to your local fridge. Remaining tour dates are below the video!

Go get yer’ boots on because it’s that time of year again. We’ve teamed up with Burton to offer you the chance to demo their Winter 2010 Snowboard range at the Snowdome in Tamworth (and believe us, that’s something you want to do). This year’s collection includes a few new additions, a lot of people have doubtless got their eye on the Sherlock with it’s fancy Flying V rocker shape.

All you need to do to take part is show up at Tamworth Snowdome after 8pm on September 14th and buy yourself a lift pass. Gear demos will of course be free, but bring your driver’s license or passport as ID may be required. More info at Burton’s Demo Tour Site
